The mayor hailed the excellent collaboration of the city council which contributed to the success
Councillors of Kumba III council have saluted the collaborative spirit between the council and the Kumba city council which resulted to an increase in the realisation rate of projects execution. The collaborative spirit between the two councils resulted to an increase in the 2020 administrative, management and stores accounts to the tune of 70 percent.
The councillors expressed satisfaction, during the first extraordinary council session devoted to the examination of the 2020 accounts.
As presented by the mayor, Dr. Isaac Mukwelle Nguba, the council realised most of it projects thanks to excellent collaboration with the city council, which resulted to the grading of streets, construction of bridges and culverts, extension of electricity and water supply as well as fighting against covid-19 pandemic in the municipality.
Other projects executed by the council within the same year includes, construction of classrooms, supply of didactic materials to schools, assistance to persons living with disabilities. For 2021, the council will focus on the construction of stores at the Buea road park, provision of solar lamps to some streets, construction of boreholes, grading and pavement of some streets and others.
The mayor used the occasion to hand over items to some physically challenged persons as well as agricultural inputs to some groups of women in the municipality.
The mayor during the session thanked councillors for their collaboration and availability for council matters. He urged councillors to remain united, stay focused and proposed development projects which can help to transform the municipality by the end of their mandate.
