As elections in Subsections and Sections across the country and abroad round off, it is worth remarking that despite the disagreements witnessed here and there, the interest of the Party triumphed.
The CPDM has commitments and projections for the future. That is why it undertook to renew the executive of its basic organs with the aim of setting up teams that shall be able to provide the Party with the needed leap forward in its functioning in order to attain its objectives. The process is yet to end but the bulk of the work has been accomplished as executives have emerged from the Cells to the majority of Sections. The election calendar indicates that all renewals must have been done by September 25, so that reports and lists of executives can be transmitted to the Central Supervisory Committee.
As much as members of the executive have been chosen from amongst the most “convinced and convincing, loyal and faithful, disciplined and competent, humble and experienced, striving with dedication, generosity and self-sacrifice” there have been tensions which were resolved with tact and maturity. Thanks to the will of the majority to see the renewal process record resounding success, hands were put on deck to find common ground where disparities showed up. With unwavering determination, the electoral committees helped militants reach consensus and choose candidates that would shoulder the affairs of the party notwithstanding obstacles and adversities.
As it is, the interest of the Party has sailed through and what is required now is for all camps to fall behind the chosen team to ensure the uninterrupted enhancement of the party. It is time for militants to show readiness, open mindedness and spurred by the passion to help the CPDM meet its challenges as the leading Party in the country. The journey has been perilous but praise goes to militants in the troubled Anglophone regions who despite the upheavals and security challenges have renewed their will to remain on the CPDM boat. So far so good and as the Party turns new pages in his evolution it, it now has more committed militants willing to walk the talk.
