CPDM militants in the Mfoundi VI section have taken part in the first preparatory mee ting ahead of the celebrations to mark, Paul Biya’s accession to power.
The meeting that took place in the Yaoundé VI council hall on Sunday October 17 was convened by the Section President Jacques Yoki Onana in preparation for the 39th edition of President Paul Biya’s accession to power.
Present at the meeting were Presidents and bureau members of the CPDM, WCPDM and YCPDM.
In his welcome address, the Section President congratulated all elected members of the section for their brilliant performance in the just ended renewal of the party’s basic organs. He encouraged them to merit the confidence bestowed on them by their peer militants and to work hard for the CPDM to maintain its leading position.
Yoki Onana also instructed militants of his section to go towards their fellow comrades who lost in the just ended election with words of love and encouragement. According to him, “the CPDM is a family and the victory of one is the victory of the other”, he said. Yoki reminded militants to always remember the permanent shout out of the National President that “the CPDM party is a unifier”, he continued. Militants of Mfoundi VI must continue to preach by example as they braze up to face their common external adversaries in future elections. “There is no enemy within but there are enemies out there” he insisted.
All elected sub section presidents at the meeting were called to put hands on deck for a good organisation of the upcoming 6th November commemoration.
The Section President also suggested that the installation of bureau members of sections and sub sections be included in activities of November 6.
Virginie Simone Ngah, WCPDM Section President, proposed the training and recognition of hardworking militants at the base.
The president of the Youth wing for his part reiterated his readiness to ensure that the 2021 edition of the November 6 feast in the section gets an unmatched success.
