Development of Kumba : Nfon Mukete Lobbies Bafaw Diaspora

The Paramount ruler of Kumba and the Bafaw tribe is on a mission to the USA, preaching to sons and daughters of Kumba on the need to give back to the community.

Nfon Mukete IV Ekoko believe that the diaspora have much to contribute in terms of development of the city of Kumba. His vision is to woo the diaspora into investingback home, and impacting the lives of thecommunity. To ensure this, the Paramount ruler is on a sensitization tour to the USA, travelling from one state to another, communing with Bafaw sons and daughters, as well as other Kumba children, while preaching the need for them to always think back home. At the different states, the Nfon received hilarious reception from Kumba sons and daughters, with many admiring his dynamism and openness to accommodate the population of Kumba both at home and abroad.
Nfon Mukete explains to the diaspora that, their community back home needs them. He said that their actions should be felt by the underprivileged, especially the internally displaced persons, who have over flooded the city of Kumba, in need of assistance. Nfon Mukete equally disclosed some area of potential investments in Kumba, which may not only help fight unemployment, but equally add beauty to the city in terms of infrastructure. While reiterating that the city of Kumba is relatively calmed, he opined that “the increased population has intensifythe demand for essential services like schools, health, shops, and recreation. These are good areas to invest in.My vision is to help the local authorities to lobby for development of Kumba. As the Paramount ruler, it is my wish to ensure that my subjects feel comfortable”.
The traditional authority lauded the USA disapora for the enormous support to the Kumba inhabitants during difficult moments. He recounted the burning of the Kumba District hospital, with massive support from the diaspora, as well as the massacre of the seven mother Francisca school kids, where heavy financial donations came from the USA.
While appreciating the USA diaspora and Bafaws in particular for the enormous efforts in the reconstruction and equipping of the burnt Kumba district hospital, the traditional ruler like Oliver Twist, pleaded on them to continue with such good works, which will continue to put smiles on the faces of the less privileged. The Nfon extended his contact visit to the American Gospel Artist, Don Moen , who he believe may influence his people spiritually through inspirational gospel music.
