The YCPDM Section President for Ngoketunjia I section in Ndop says the time to prepare for future stakes is now. He has been galvanizing the youths in Ndop to buy peace and never to trade it.
L’Action: Mr. President, peace has become your song so to speak, what motivates you to invest so much energy preaching peace?
Pius Mukrongho Mingo: Peace is the base for everything in life. When there is peace you can sleep, work, travel, fight for your future, do exploits and show your worth. The absence of it is a completely different story all together. Everything dies without peace, there are no ambitions, you can’t function freely for fear of being attacked. In fact, peace is everything and without peace there is nothing. If we particularly in the North west and here in Ndop didn’t know the value of peace till the coming of the crisis, then we have learned to seek it and to appreciate it because there is nothing like it. We have experienced both peace and war and today we know better, we choose peace.
Did anyone contribute in boosting this quest and firmness to seek and instill peace amongst the youths of Ndop?
Yes, President Paul Biya whose 40th anniversary at the helm of the State we are celebrating has open our eyes, peace is a priceless treasure. With the return of normal life and the fact that people can go about their daily activities without fear of being attacked, kidnapped or killed no one here will wish to experience the frustrations and pains that came with the crisis. Consequently, we cherish the peace we enjoy and thank Paul Biya immensely for never giving up on the Cameroonian youth.
With this knowledge you have now, as a leader of the young people in your section, what is the way forward?
The way forward is to continue to encourage our young people braze up for the future. The CPDM is known to prepare stakes far ahead of time reason for the party’s successes. We are preparing the youths of our section to be ready for any eventual political exercises. We have to learn to share opinions, resolve conflicts amongst ourselves peacefully, and make sure no one talks us out of our nationalist spirit hence the preservation of national peace. I see the future of our youths as a bright one. I am very optimistic about that. President Biya has groomed us all these years, to take the relay and we are at it.
