Following the regional campaign launch in Bamenda campaigns have taken full gear across municipalities of the region.
Divisional and Municipal campaign leaders have been melting the oil to ensure every single vote in the house in retained by the party, as they take lessons from the 2018 senatorial polls where CPDM militants in the region allegedly cast null votes, and voted candidates of the opposition.
In Momo Division, the Permanent Divisional Delegation Head, Mbah Acha Rose has presented to the mayors, the senatorial candidate from the Division, Hon Enwe Francis, calling on them to give their candidate a hundred percent victory with the CPDM at the helm of all five councils of Momo.
The mayors who head campaign teams at the municipal level and are in close touch with all councilors of their respective councils assured the Divisional campaign head that the CPDM has a guaranteed victory from Momo.
“All councilors are enthusiastic and ready to vote for the CPDM candidate in Momo. We spoke like a family and we move from here to our voting destination. Come the 12th of March, there is no midway, it’s a hundred percent for the CPDM,” Mbah Acha assured.
The candidate, Hon Enwe who has been militating with the party since 1992 and has served as Member of Parliament for two terms before he left the parliament in 2020 is boastful of his track record as MP for Momo West where he pushed for the development of his area, while assuring his people that his election into the senate would see many more development strides brought to the region as a whole.
Over in Menchum, Kobenge Sekedi Bomeh has been presented to the people of Menchum as the Senate Candidate on the CPDM list for the March 12 polls. The Division also enjoys the leadership of the CPDM in all councils. The councilors through the mayors at the helm of the municipal campaign teams have promised 100 percent victory for their party candidate and his alternate.
Over all, the CPDM enjoys 97 percent of councilors in the region, representing 1044 of the 1075 municipal councilors. At the level of the Regional Assembly, all 90 delegates are militants of the CPDM, putting the party on a comfortable position against the opposition even as the campaign teams are on the field to cut their Ts and dot the Is for resounding victory.
Voting shall take place on Sunday March 12 at all seven divisional headquarters of the region. Councilors and representatives of the Regional Assembly are the exclusive electorate of this election.
