Local authorities to comb all nooks and crannies, sensitize and encourage eligible voters to register on the voter’s Lists.
This is the object of the preoccupation of section executive. It is no a secret that Akono has enjoyed a faithful give and take relationship with the CPDM and its National president. During the recent celeb ration of the party’s 38th anniversary authorities of the CPDM in this section expressed their desire to increase their militant strength by recruiting more militants in to the CPDM for an even greater output in results in future elections. For this, the need for a massive registration of eligible voters on Elecam’s lists has become more pressing. The party authorities, during the anniversary dwelt largely on this topic, calling on presidents of Cell, Branches and Sub section Presidents to get to work in their respective e areas and ensure that proper sensitization of eligible voters and by extension potential CPDM members.
According to the section President, Daniel Hippolyte Bickoe “All past elections in Akono have always been a walk over for the CPDM because our true militancy, steadfast and unshakable stance to build the Nation with the CPDM and its National President. It has not been without challenges but our determination gives us strength to brave the odds, as we learn from past mistakes”, he said.
As the nation looks forward to eventual stakes, the Mefou and Akono South west section is not lying on its laurels. “We must maintain our posture as the never failing political leaders in our political arena. By this we must work, we must not be taken unawares, reason why we have charged all our grassroot authorities to go out regularly and educate would be militants and militants on the need to get registered on the voters lists. They must be in possession of their biometric cards so as to qualify for voting”, he insisted.
The Mefou and Akono Southwest section is made up of 13 sun sections spread in 26 villages.
