After six years of little or no political activity due to the crisis and consequent insecurity, CPDM launches grand come back.
The section organized and held a mega section conference on May 19, 2023 which saw a huge turnout of CPDM militants from all 26 subsections. According to Akwa Stephen Tambu, “the section conference was a unique opportunity to take stock of the party’s successes in Widikum, access the challenges and make projections for the future”, he said.
These and other challenges have provoked militants of Momo V section to take the stance like one man, they are determined to gain more momentum, conquer more and new territories. They plan to hold meetings regularly, as they look to the future with great optimism.
The section has much work to do, including the sensitization of would-be militants to get them registered on the voters’ lists.
The Momo V section is made up of four zones namely; the Widikum, Bussam, Menka and Ambelle zones. In the words of the section president “These four zones have been doing well despite security challenges”, he insisted.
With the return of peace, it is incumbent on the local party authorities to reassure the people that they can freely express their political views hence prepare for the future elections which are already pointing in the horizon and for which the section plans to give the CPDM an unmatched performance.
For a section which, in the March 12, 2023 senatorial election saw one of theirs, Senator Enwe Francis Abi climb to represent the division at the senate, the section continued to acknowledge all stake holders for their contributions to this success, particularly councilors of Widkum. They have been steadfast in their choice and overwhelmingly voted for the CPDM list.
For the many blessings that have come to the section thanks to the CPDM, like the appointment of sons and daughters to positions of authority and more; the section plans to continue supporting the CPDM as a means to attract more blessings.
