In preparation for a memorable celebration, the executive of the Section has been visiting subsections to mobilise militants for a massive turnout.
At a time when the party has begun strategising in view of future elections, the executive of Italy under Serge Tonga, Section President knows the important role of keeping an eye on old militants while scanning nooks and crannies to register new ones. This explains the Section Executive’s constant field trips to basic organs, which according to Fredreick Ndang Nchaw, Secretary of the Section affirms are the entry route for new militants. For the past months, members of the executive of Italy Section have undertaken trips to the subsections to ensure their smooth functioning and also have an inventory of their needs. To Mr. Ndang, this constant follow up is part of the executive’s mission which intends for the CPDM to maintain its hold in Italy. Apart from canvassing for new militants, the executive has been encouraging them to register on voters’ lists. If the CPDM must continue to consolidate its achievements, it is through victories which are worked for ahead of time. As the Party prepares to commemorate the 41st anniversary of the Man of the New deal, its militants are putting hands on deck for it to be a success.
Traditionally, militants of the CPDM celebrate the anniversary of President Paul Biya’s accession to the supreme magistracy in pump every. They seize the opportunity to highlight numerous achievements under the New Deal, championed by their National President. At home like abroad, militants celebrate in line with the directives given by the Party’s hierarchy. While waiting for the Circular from the Secretary General, plans are underway to make the 41st anniversary memorable. It is in this light that the Serge Tonga led executive is mobilising militants through their numerous platforms. An executive meeting is slated for the coming days, during which the venue for the celebration will be agreed and other logistics settled. A number of themes on which militants will be edified will also be selected alongside the choice of resource persons.
Meanwhile, the Section’s Secretary is upbeat that the turn out will be impressive as they intend to visit the Venice subsection to mobilise militants ahead of the anniversary celebration.
