The Party’s local authorities are targeting real voters to bring them on board with no time to waste on fence sitters.
Every credible election is determined by the numerical strength of the registered electors. The CPDM, guarantor of electoral successes in Cameroon and competitor that plans to reconquer and maintain its position as the leading political party is making hay while the sun shines. The Secretary General, Jean Nkuété is leaving nothing to chance by prompting authorities of the party to take the 2024 registration of voters on the electoral registers seriously. He has requested that official create a synergy with local offices of the Elections governing body (Elecam) which will act as a vehicle to convey the authorities to congregations of the party’s supporters, sympathizers and would be militants. Jean Nkuété has been prompt to act early, giving modalities on how he expects the party to work with the election governing body to ensure that Cameroonians get ready for the upcoming election by doing the right thing which is registration. It would be a monumental error to dabble into such a decisive electoral exercise without properly coordinating and preparing the troops. The CPDM, a master in the art of planning has thus set to motion its sensitization and mobilization arsenal with a great expectation of a massive harvest of registered voters on the lists.
The Secretary General has also prescribed four cardinal building blocks including sensitization, the formal identification of militants, the verification of electoral lists and party representation. For either of these stages, the total implication of local authorities and the need to keep militants and would be militants abreast with all the necessary information cannot be overemphasized.
In the next seven months before the closure of the registers in August 2024 therefore, Jean Nkuété wants the CPDM party to register the maximum of militants, sympathizers against the upcoming Municipal, Parliamentary and Presidential elections.
The section executives in collaboration with the subsection executives are thus expected to work out a plan on how the process will go. For best results, the free flow of information from top to bottom and vice versa is highly will go a long way to speed up the exercise and to birth the results.
