MISAJE : Party Showcases Political Strength

Sea of militants, supporters and sympathisers of the Cameroon Peoples Democratic Movement, CPDM showed up at the grandstand in Misaje subdivision of Donga Mantung division in the North West region, where the celebration of the National Day took place on May 20, 2024.

The civilian parade that closed the event, witnessed the participation of pupils, students and sympathisers of political parties that have members in the parliament. Here, the CPDM conveyed striking messages through patriotic songs, which hinged on the promotion of living together and the indivisibility of Cameroon. They also pour praises on President Paul Biya and threw flowers on Prof. Fuh Calistus, the Acting Minister of Mines, Industries and Technological Development for his ceaseless endeavour in fostering the development in his Misaje subdivision. The CPDM used the event to show numerical strength of the party. The Section President Ali Turku expressed gratitude to Prof. Fuh Calistus Gentry for mobilizing the population of Misaje to remain committed to one and Indivisible Cameroon.
The Divisional Officer of Misaje Frutumah Martin Mbuh disclosed that all the 12 villages of the area were all represented during the event. “This is just a proof to show that they have deep values for republican institutions. This is a day that gives meaning to one and indivisible Cameroon and we have to celebrate it with all it’s components”, he said. The Divisional Officer for Misaje added that messages portrayed during the march past clearly indicate that Misaje people are peace loving and hardworking which according him tie with the theme of the 2024 National Day: “Army and Nation: Together for a United, Peaceful and Prosperous Cameroon”. As early as 7am, students, pupils and civilians were all moving towards the Misaje grandstand, a sign of interest in national life, according to the DO.
