The evaluation exercise was during a heavily-attended meeting of the Cameroon People’s Democratic Movement, CPDM in Limbe, Fako division of the South West region on Friday May 31.
Here, local party hierarchy and grass root elected officials met to access the level of preparedness of the ruling party for upcoming elections and crafted strategies to boost voter registration of sympathizers and supporters on the voter rolls.
Speaking at the meeting, the acting Head of the Central Committee CPDM Fako Permanent Delegation Prof Nalova Lyonga, who is also Minister of Secondary Education urged party members and sympathizers to enroll massively on the electoral list ahead of several elections due 2025.
As to the state of preparedness, the YCPDM President of Fako 1A Section, Ekema Roland Ngale says it is on a good path. “We are transforming all our sympathisers to full-fledged supporters of the CPDM and getting all of them enrolled on the electoral register, with the help of our mother, Prof Nalova Lyonga”.
Meanwhile, during the meeting, the seven section presidents of the division each presented reports on party activities and efforts to boost voter registration in their sections.

The gathering also expressed gratitude to the President of the Republic, Paul Biya, for the creation of the Higher Teachers Training College, HTTC, in the University of Buea.
Minister Nalova said the population of Fako “have to be extremely happy” for the creation of HTTC Buea, because “we will be able to train teachers who will work in our schools”. For the YCPDM Fako 1A Section President, Ekema Roland Ngale, the creation of HTTC Buea is testimony “Paul Biya (Head of State and National President of the CPDM), is a real father of Fako division”. “Through my humble voice we want to say a big ‘Thank You‘, to our natural presidential candidate, H.E Paul Biya, ” Ekema added. “That is why through the rallying prowess of Prof Nalova Lyonga, Minister of Secondary education, we gathered to appreciate what our president has done for Fako division,” he noted. At the end of the meeting, a motion of support and gratitude was addressed to President Paul, for the creation of the HTTC within the University of Buea, and other projects carried out by government within Fako division. Senator Charles Mbella Moki, Members of Parliament for Fako East Constituency, Hon Etombi Gladys and Hon Findi Stanley; Limbe City Mayor, Paul Efome Ngale; the General Manager of the Cameroon Development Corporation, CDC, Franklin Ngoni Njie were among the over 500 signatories of the motion.
