Stephen Ujambeng Andong : Momo’s Voice for Peace

CPDM section president for Momo IV in Ngie has continued his outcry for lasting peace in the division.

During a harvest thanks giving ceremony in PCC Nsimeyoung in Yaounde, Ujambeng called on his brothers from Momo to seek peace with one another always. For a man who has stood the test of time as a nation builder, and a devoted militant of the CPDM, Ujambeng has braved life threatening situations for the party’s sake and has remained standing. His unwavering faith in God speaks volumes of his determination for the country’s cause for peace, growth and development. He has been calling on his bothers from the same division to continue to “sow seeds of resilience in order to reap a harvest of endurance”. The prevailing situation in the English-speaking regions has according to him “brought the people on their knees. The importance of peace amongst us whether home or abroad cannot be overemphasized”, Ujambeng insisted.
Of importance therefore is the need for all Momo sons and daughters to avoid storms, explore all avenues to ensure that peace be restored. They must put hands together to rebuild the ruins of their division. For this, Ujambeng called for a “deep reflection on the current situation back home, the need to identify areas where help must be given and to rebuild the ruins”, he lamented.
Momo division is still faced with lots of challenges ranging from the lack of roads, portable water, hospitals to name but these. The frustrations and deceptions by separatists, have thought the people lessons which they will not forget in a hurry. For this therefore, Ujambeng thinks that as a people they can together make peace their watch word and transform every struggle in to a vibrant victory.
