MVENGUE : Counts Blessings, Beads Paul Biya to Stand as their Presidential Candidate in 2025

Militants of the CPDM in the Ocean north east section in Mvengue have been showing off Paul Biya as the one who has changed life completely for them for better.

They have been clamoring, through incessant calls for the national President of the CPDM to be their presidential candidate for 2025. Their most recent call was in Mvengue on 6 November where militants from the 21 section converged on the Mvengue ceremonial ground first to celebrate their champion, then pass across their message for 2025. Lots of benefits are said to have come to Mvengue thanks to the CPDM. In the words of Ambroise Owotsogo Ongene, the section has experienced and exponential growth politically, economically and socially.

On the political scene the bring to light of multipartism was a great achievement that permitted mili- tants to freely choose the party the

wanted to belong to. This he said was farfetched in the CNU era where militating in a party other than the CNU was seen as a threat to State security. Freedom of speech and the right for every Cameroonians to make home any- where on the national triangle were also mentioned as gains that have come through the CPDM.

Economically, “there were no road in- frastructures, no communication facilities between Mvengue and neighboring towns like Lolodorf, Biwong Bane, Ebolowa. We had to carry our boxes on our heads to go to school in other towns. Today, thanks to Paul Biya one can go through all the villages in one day. A kilogram of Cocoa that used to sell at 250frs todays fluctuate between 3000 and 5000frs, Owotsogo said. On the social plan, the sub division had just about ten public primary schools, no high schools. Today Mvengue counts numerous pri- mary, secondary, vocational High

schools. It has two health centers a major tarred road that cuts across the town making movement to all parts of the subdivision easy. Sons and daughters of the area are nu- merous in high position in the country. For these and more, the people think that Paul Biya has loved them and given them beyond what they expected.

They have unanimously agreed that the much-needed continuation in their development process de- pends largely on Paul Biya. They have thus chosen him to be their flag bearer in upcoming election. They have assured the National President that like in the past, the Ocean north eat section will vote for the CPDM by the largest ma- jority in Mvengue.

The Ocean north east section comprises of 21 sub sections, each having the three wings of the CPDM, 241 branches and 496 Cells.
