They are working tooth and nail to will join their peers nationwide in commemoration of the party’s upcoming 40th anniversary.
Information contained in the recent circular of March 11 by the Secretary General of the CPDM, Jean Nkuété outlining modalities for this year’s commemoration has put CPDM Militants of the Momo North west constituency on their heels. Under the leadership of their local party authorities, they are finetuning strategies to march the SG’s recommendations with the appropriate actions on the field.
For a constituency that is dealing with several challenges including threats from unseen enemies disguised as separatist fighters, opportunist that have taken advantage of the situation to settle scores, steal through kidnappings for ransom and more; insecurity has become the lot of the people living in this area. These happenings have however not deterred militants of the CPDM as they have chosen to stay true to their choice of the CPDM as their party through which they contribute to the growth and development of the nations. Vulnerable ones have metamorphosed into overnight criminals taking advantage of the prevailing atmosphere but local authorities of the CPDM have continued to preach peace. As they prepare for this 40th anniversary, they are making sure to organise and celebrate in all safety.
Hon. Awutah Philip Atubah, the Member of Parliament for Momo West Constituency is optimistic that every recommendation by the party’s hierarchy will be carried out successfully in his constituency. “Militants of the CPDM in our Constituency are mature enough. They will join their comrades nationwide for the general mobilisation by supporters called by the SG”. The theme for this year’s commemoration “Let us stand ready, behind President Paul Biya, to take up the challenge of a clear, transparent and unambiguous victory for the CPDM candidate in the presidential election” is telling of a party that knows the strength of its unity, and stands ready to move to the next higher level with their support. The Constituency owes it to the CPDM party and the nation to relay the party’s directives effectively and efficiently without putting the lives of any one on the line.
