Huge groundwork done in recent times by Senator Enwe Francis Abi in Widikum already points to a readiness of the people to give CPDM a smooth ride in coming elections.
This was evident during celebrations marking the 53rd national day in Widikum. The CPDM was the lone political party that was present and that participated in activities in Widikum. Credit for this has been given to Senator Enwe Francis a worthy son of Widikum. He has tirelessly fought to ensure that all liars in their guise of politicians be purged from the area and beyound. The “father” or “Lion of Momo” as he is affectionately called has braved countless odds for the restoration of peace. He has been very instrumental especially in relaying president Biya’s message to youths who had been misled to take up arms. Senator Enwe Francis has an unbeatable record of pulling the most stubborn separatists’ fighters out of the bushes, helping with the government has transfer them to rehabilitation centers.
These moves and more have earned him great admiration especially from the youths. On this May 20 celebration, they constituted themselves in great numbers under the banner of “The Senator Enwe Francis Abi’s Fans Club” and came to match in front of all the authorities and the population. They carried effigies of the Head of State and the Senator as they matched past chanting victory songs. This to them is their own way to show gratitude to the one who though lost everything with the crisis including his own house burnt to arches, still continues to fight for their interest in Widikum.
The CPDM it was demonstrated has no competitors in Widikum. A giant step for the CPDM local authorities and an advantage the plan to capitalize on.
It is now left only to bring in all who are yet to get register to do so in these last months before the exercise runs to a conclusive close in August.
Their registration and voting for the CPDM being the only right and democratic way to sanction tale bearers and illusion sellers, they are leaving nothing to chance.
It promises to be a walk over for the CPDM in Widikum in the upcoming Presidential elections.
