In keeping with the Basic Texts of the CPDM Party, the executive of Italy Section led by Eric Serge Tonga has regularly planned and held its Section meetings, succeeding to mobilising militants from far and wide.
The stakes are high. 2025 is at hand and the party which began preparations for the upcoming elections years back is speeding up the process to ensure its victory in the presidential, municipal and legislative elections. With this in mind, militants of the Italy Section have not relented efforts in rallying themselves when the need arises to take stock of the road covered while projecting for future achievements. It is thus in line with attaining the goals outlined in their action plan that the executive of the CPDM Italy Section have begun laying the ground work for their first ever Section conference which accordingly should hold twice in a year. According to a communiqué signed by Frederick Ndang Nchaw, the date and venue are yet to be announced but executives of branches and cells are required to summit reports of meetings held last year, updated versions of the card index file of militants of each basic organ, lists of those who have paid subscription fees, lists of members having electoral cards and a proposed calendar of meetings for 2024.
The aforementioned documents are being compiled by the Section executive ahead of the Section conference in a bid to evaluate the road covered in implementing the action plan drawn up after the renewal exercise. Cognisant of the difficulties faced in mobilising militants with regard to the realities of militating on foreign soil, the Section’s executive has thus decided on early planning, to enable executives of branches and cells to assemble the required data that would help them strategize ahead of the 2025 rendez-vous. As part of activities spearheaded by the Section, the executive is on an offensive to up the number of Cameroonians in Italy not only registered as militants but also enrolled on Elecam’s registers. This explains one of the documents requested from basic organ executives which is the list of militants who own voter’s cards. The aim is to update the current data and encourage the registration of voters who will make the party stand out when the time comes.
It is no news that detractors are in the shadows, pulling strings to shatter the plans of the CPDM. The Eric Serge Tonga-led team has thus called on its comrades to constantly report activities on various social media platforms in a bid for them to step up vigilance and hamper the ploys of such malicious groups of individuals.
