The triumph with which the Head of State, national President of the CPDM was received at the opening ceremony of the African nations football tournament testified of the unalloyed support he enjoys from the people.
Paul Biya is loved and cherished not only by CPDM militants but Cameroonians at large. It was evident by the chanting and praising that resonated in and around the grandiose Olembe stadium, as he arrived for the opening of the Afcon. This support was witnessed right from the gates of the Unity Palace through the streets of Yaounde as militants showed up in colourful attires that spoke of the magnanimity of the event and person – the number one sportsman, Paul Biya. True to their nature, CPDM militants thronged the streets as they waved and shouted in joy when the motorcade that ferried him to and from the stadium drove by. They were equally present in the stadium, one of Africa’s best football infrastructure. This was a clear demonstration of their love and loyalty, renowned characteristic of the CPDM Party that stands by state institutions in the rain and sun as it pursues the quest to make the livelihood of Cameroonians worthwhile.
This African football jamboree is yet another occasion for the CPDM to throw its full weight behind Paul Biya who has relented no effort in making Cameroon a sight for sore eyes for this African football rendez-vous, with state-of-the-art infrastructure. By massively mobilizing for the success of this event, CPDM militants will be showing support to a man who incarnates peace, unity and national integration. The loyalty and backing of CPDM militants and sympathizers to the head of State is what Jean Nkuété has prescribed. He has beckoned officials of the Party to understand and help spread the message of the President of the Republic to the nation. He said, “in order to better enlighten our comrades and compatriots on the actual stakes and challenges as well as on the Government’s balance sheet, and to effectively counter the disinformation and intoxication campaigns deliberately orchestrated within and outside the country to tarnish the image of our country, especially in this period where Cameroon is organising the African Cup of Nations, the 2021TotalEnergies AFCON, which is classified as the biggest African sporting event of the last few years.”
CPDM militants have always brought to light the achievements of the President of the republic in diverse spheres like health, education, governance and the economy all geared towards improving the living conditions of Cameroonians from North to South and East to West. It is therefore imperative to continue magnifying the actions of the “Father of the nation” in his quest to make Cameroon an emergent country by 2035.
