To Galvanise Militants at Base : Italy Section Always on the Move

It is in the bid to constantly be in touch with the realities on the field that the executive of the CPDM Italy Section have planned trips to Cells of the Udine and Venice Subsections.

Since the reorganisation of the Party’s basic organs in 2020, members of the executive of the Italy Section have not relented efforts in liaising with the base that voted them in. The executive has diversified strategies of being everywhere every time through physical and virtual meetings that have helped it to keep the spirit of the party alive. Conscious that they need to live up to the expectations of fellow comrades for the five year term, the executive has remained in constant dialogue and action with the militants.
In this light, some members of the executive, resident in Northern Italy amongst them the Secretary of the Section, Frederick Ndang Nchaw intend to commune with militants of the Cells of Udine and Venice Subsections in coming days. According to an announcement made by the Section’s Secretary, the visits are in prelude to the Section conference, slated to hold in Northern Italy. The visits will permit the executive ascertain that strategies put in place to woo more militants into the fold are in motion, given the growing number of Cameroonians in the area.
Meanwhile, the executive had during previous meetings schooled the subsection executives on the importance of growing the militant base as well as holding statutory meetings to better evaluate their activities. According to Frederick Ndang Nchaw, “there are several challenges when it comes to organising party activities due to time constraints and mobilising the necessary human and financial resources. Nonetheless, the executive under the leadership of its President, Eric Serge Tonga endeavours to overcome these potholes while having in mind the ultimate goal of keeping the Party’s flames alive. On our previous visits, we listened to the concerns of Subsection presidents and such trips help us to evaluate our outreach scheme and develop new ideas to make our section vibrant”.
In the hope of receiving positive feedback from the field, the executive intends to use the trips to galvanise militants at the base.
