The context of this year’s festivities is quite peculiar, rea- son for the call by the Secretary General of the Central Committee for militants to make it memorable.
s tradition would have it, the circular containing the theme and context of the celebration of President Paul Biya’s accession to power was signed by Jean Nkuété. The events planned for November 6 will be more vibrant than ever. Each CPDM section across the nation is tasked with organiz- ing gatherings that reflect the party’s commitment to grassroots mobilization. These events will bring together militants, government officials, and the general public, creating an atmosphere of camaraderie and shared purpose. “CPDM militants, friends and supporters, who shall be joined by fellow militants Members of Government, Members of Parliament, Members of the Central Committee and National Bureaus of WCPDM and YCPDM, Re- gional Councillors, Municipal Magistrates, General Managers of public and private companies, Economic Operators, senior ex- ecutives from both public and pri- vate administrations, militants from allied parties and all the local population”.
As November 6 approaches, the CPDM calls upon every Cameroonian to join in making this day memorable. It is an opportunity to celebrate not only President Paul Biya’s exceptional leadership but also the unique identity and resilience of the Cameroonian people. Because as Jean Nkuété puts it, it will be a time to honour history, acknowl- edge achievements, and reaffirm commitment to a brighter future under the esteemed stewardship of President Biya. To ensure the success of the cel- ebrations, leaders at all levels are called upon to actively participate and supervise the events. The in- volvement of local populations, allied party militants, and various stakeholders will enhance the sense of community and shared achievement. It is a moment to re- flect on the progress made under Biya’s leadership and to express gratitude for the stability and growth experienced over the past four decades. The circular emphasizes that this anniversary is not merely a cele- bration of the past but a reaffir- mation of commitment to the future. It is a time to renew sup- port for Biya’s vision, ensuring that Cameroonians remain unified in their aspirations for peace, work, and a prosperous homeland
