Peace, Stability and Respect for Institutions : CPDM Local Party Authorities Continue to Relay SG’S Message

The recent call by the Secretary General of the CPDM Jean Nkuété for all to guard against hate speech and threats of violence propagated by some political parties continue to make waves in local party units.

The CPDM, a well-structured party has an organised system of information flow from top to bottom and vice versa. Recent developments in national politics witnessed some deviances that threatened the general peace of the nation as some political parties took to the propagation of hate speech and incitement of violence.   In the face of this situation, the secretary General came out to condemn such vices in a Press release.  He denounced with the utmost energy, such behaviours and speeches of institutional defiance, intimidation, incitement to hatred, violence and attacks against President Paul Biya.

CPDM local party authorities, charged with the relay of the SG’s information to the base have not been sleeping on their laurels. They have been pushing the Secretary General’s firm call for peace, tolerance and mutual respect at this sensitive time in our shared history to their local party comrades.

The Member of Parliament for the Ngoketunjia North constituency, Hon Njingum Musa Mbutoh has been very constant on the field, relaying this message to his constituents. He has continued to insists that militants of the CPDM in his constituency have come of age and can no longer be dragged into any form of bloody game, they who are yet recovering from a crisis that has brought them to their knees. In the Words of the MP, “We are doing a lot of work to help our people pick up their pieces. The message of the SG has just come to add to what we have been doing so far and we think that our people are concerned with rebuilding their ruins rather than engaging in any further troubles. Propagators of hate speech and violence would have to re-strategize because such can no longer work in our constituency”, Njingum Musa said emphatically.

In the Momo west section in Ngie, the section president; Stephen Ujambeng Andong said, “Ngie is looking forward to the upcoming Presidential elections with a lot of hope. The message of the Secretary General is a reminder that we must cherish our nation’s peace and unity and we are at it. Ngie has lost so much to the socio-political crisis and this is a unique opportunity to reclaim that which has been lost. The SG’ S message is thus being relayed to militants faithfully and we are optimistic the they can never be fooled again”, he insisted.

The coming weeks are going to be very determinant in the history of Cameroon and no rational Cameroonian wants to be caught in the web of deception. The instructions of the SG are very clear and CPDM local authorities are making sure none of them falls to the ground.
