Message of H.E. Mr. Jean Nkuété, Secretary general of the Central Committee, CPDM National Campaign Coordinator, Chairperson of the National Campaign Committee
Dear Electors, Fellow Compatriots,
Good evening.
As you are no doubt aware, the election of the President of the Republic of Cameroon is scheduled to take place on 12 October 2025 that is in two weeks’ time, within the national territory and abroad.
Dear compatriots, all this will take place in the context of a changing world, shaken by turmoil of all kinds, that are having an impact on sub-Saharan Africa. These challenges are further compounded by the scarcity of financial resources, which is hindering the region’s growth and development.
In this geopolitical landscape, our nation, Cameroon, has managed to contain the ravages of ill fortune and stay on track for the millennium. This achievement can be attributed to the vigilance, determination, strategic insight and ongoing dynamism of our charismatic leader, His Excellency Paul BIYA.
To summarise, in this context marked by multiple contingencies, President Paul BIYA has succeeded in establishing our country as a peaceful oasis in the turbulent African context. To put it briefly, the country is and will always be a great place to live. Its institutions are stable, and peace, unity and territorial integrity are firmly guaranteed. This makes it an attractive and envied place, and it has even been nicknamed « the Continent ».
The Cameroonian people, cognisant of the nature of our free or manipulated compatriots, who have a tendency to perceive issues in stark terms and, above all, to imagine a country where everything is going wrong, especially on social media, have placed a powerful safeguard in their path, namely their chosen candidate, His Excellency Paul BIYA, National President of the Cameroon People’s Democratic Movement. He is renowned both domestically and internationally for his significant and noteworthy accomplishments, his numerous productive ongoing initiatives, and his forward-thinking vision for the future.
Paul BIYA, a truly exceptional individual, has been instrumental in guiding Cameroon through various challenges and has contributed to its emergence as a nation of pride for our children and ourselves.
I would like to reiterate that he continues to be the people’s candidate, with support from a wide range of allies including political parties, civil society, intellectuals, economic operators and so on.
He is the athlete whose strength, endowed by the Most High, renders him invincible.
In comparison to the other candidates, Paul Biya is the only true man of peace and progress, a man of wisdom and incomparable experience. His comprehensive understanding of the country, its challenges, and potential solutions make him the right candidate to lead state. He is a leader who is perfectly suited to the task at hand. He is a rare breed of statesmen, increasingly rare in today’s world.
* My dear Compatriots,
During the upcoming campaign, we will have in-depth conversations about President Paul BIYA’s new plans for continued growth in our country, centred on key priority areas which include:
• Accelerating the productivity of the goods and services industry;
• Promoting enhanced participation in political and business management roles for women and young people;
• Strengthening institutions and, above all, regaining control of the effective dynamics of the administration to fight against corruption and embezzlement;
• Fostering dynamic and fruitful cooperation within sub-regional organisations of which Cameroon is a member.
Dear Compatriots,
It is evident that our nation has attained a level of maturity where the management of its affairs cannot be entrusted to adventurers, illusionists, and ambitious individuals without the necessary tools. To summarise, it is no longer possible to use it as a test subject in the laboratory of sorcerer’s apprentices.
In this regard, on 12 October, voters are invited to place a white ballot paper bearing the image of President Paul BIYA in the ballot box. This will ensure a prosperous future for the nation, and support the development of a more humane, stronger and prosperous Cameroon.
Finally, I would like to reiterate my previous requests to all our campaign teams to continue working closely with our counterparts on the ground. Keep them informed about President Paul BIYA and his project for an enriched society.
