Work is ongoing as usual at the Central Committee of the CPDM with different teams charged with the follow-up of the election exercise carrying out their tasks.
The parking space of the institution is full this Tuesday, a little more than on ordinary days. This, due to the presence of different members of different commissions charged with the follow-up of the election process. Departments like the technical secretariat, led by Minister Gregoire Owona are carrying out their duties unperturbed. They have taken up the Main Hall of the party secretariat as their working space since the night of October 12.
This department has as key role to do a follow up of the national campaign on the behalf of the CPDM. Their job also includes a technical coordination, which enables them to liase with various national institutions involved in the conduct of the election. As at Tuesday morning, the over twenty members present, with their committee Head could be seen glued to their laptops. From time to time, whispers could be heard, a remark or an instruction from the National President of the campaign committee to member, a question or view from a member as the case may be characterized the atmosphere in the hall.
According to Yoland Frida Ngono, member of the technical secretariat; “We hold meeting every day at 5pm with our committee President”.
It is an atmosphere of total serenity reflective of a people committed to a careful and meticulous follow up in the best intensions to provide Cameroonians with the outcome of their concerted efforts to choose their leader.
The Subcommittee of communication, is charged with the implementation of CPDM’s internal and external communication strategy. The newsroom of the Central Committee Newspaper L’Action. To give the election a better coverage the weekly newspaper changed it periodicity from a weekly newspaper to three times in a week publication. Reporters are stationed both on the field and on sight for a judicious flow and processing of information.
Another committee present on site and working is the sub- committee on electoral litigation and vote counting. They are present and also carrying out their duties.
All of these departments are working, intensifying their activities by the day to ensure that at the end of the exercise a satisfactory feedback is given to Cameroonians in fulfilment of their votes cast.
