New Political Year : CPDM Remains United, Mobilised

The transition from 2025 to 2026 marks a shift from a year of achievement to a new phase of responsibility, anticipation and sustained mobilisation.

2025 will remain engraved in the political history of the CPDM as a year of major success. Faced with a decisive presidential election, militants of the Party demonstrated exemplary mobilisation, discipline and loyalty across the national territory. From the grassroots to the central organs of the Party, the CPDM stood united, organised and resolute.

Thanks to this collective commitment, rooted in cohesion, unity and strong leadership, the CPDM’s candidate emerged victorious, securing another seven-year mandate. This achievement, alongside other political and organisational gains recorded during the year, once again confirmed the CPDM’s position as the leading political force and guarantor of stability in Cameroon.

These successes were not the result of chance. They were the fruit of loyalty to Party ideals, respect for hierarchy, and the clear vision provided by the National President of the CPDM, Paul Biya.

As the Party enters 2026, it does so with clarity and resolve. The CPDM has never subscribed to complacency, and the magnitude of recent victories does not justify resting on laurels. On the contrary, they impose a greater duty of vigilance and preparedness.

In the coming months, important electoral deadlines – particularly legislative and municipal elections will once again test the Party’s capacity for organisation, mobilisation and unity. These challenges require early preparation, methodical planning and permanent engagement at all levels of the Party structure.

The beginning of the year is therefore a strategic moment to consolidate achievements while preparing for future battles.

As grassroot leaders (cell, branch, subsection and section presidents) draw up their roadmaps for the year, the vision remains clear and shared. The task ahead –

consolidate the gains of recent years,

strengthen proximity with militants and populations,

and actively accompany the National President, Paul Biya, in his constant quest to improve the living conditions of Cameroonians.

The vitality of the CPDM has always rested on the effectiveness of its grassroot structures. It is at this level that political action takes concrete form, where trust is built and sustained, and where the Party’s message is carried into daily life. Regular meetings, proximity actions, political education and attentive listening must therefore be intensified.

Internal Cohesion and Exemplarity

In the face of upcoming political challenges, discipline and internal cohesion remain cardinal values of the CPDM. The Party’s history has shown that unity of action, respect for hierarchy and loyalty to established guidelines are essential conditions for success and sustainability.

Political education particularly targeting youth and women, who constitute strategic pillars of the Party must be strengthened to ensure a conscious, responsible and disciplined militant base capable of sustaining the Party’s long-term vision.

At the level of the General Secretariat of the CPDM Central Committee, under the stewardship of Secretary General Jean Nkuété, the Party will undoubtedly continue to fine-tune its action plans in order to strengthen coordination, enhance effectiveness and ensure optimal preparedness in the face of upcoming challenges.

This central leadership role is essential in harmonising grassroots initiatives, reinforcing internal cohesion and ensuring that Party action remains aligned with its strategic vision and national responsibilities.

By reinforcing grassroot mobilisation, maintaining unity and discipline, and preparing methodically for upcoming elections, the CPDM will continue to safeguard peace, promote development and preserve national unity in 2026 while remaining a force of Cameroon’s political scene.
