The Section President of Fako II in Muyuka throws light on their activities to keep the political unit vibrant.
L’Action: How is the section faring in-between the security situation, economic woes and the impact of COVID -19
Hon. Findi Stanley: Though faced with several challenges, posed by Covid-19, and the ongoing crisis, the militants of the section have not folded their arms. Thanks to their commitment and steadfastness to the ideals of H.E President Paul Biya, the national President of the party, they have always come out massively to demonstrate their love for nation and quest for peace during all state celebrations. For example, like the 11th February and 20th May celebrations. A show of strength over opposition parties that have withered away.
What are the activities you have carried since becoming Section President of Fako II
It’s exactly one year since I was elected by the militants of the section to the prestigious position of the section President of Fako II section. Conscious of the challenges and the need to move the party to a different level, I committed my team and the militants at large to immediate work. In the aspect of mobilization, we mobilized hundreds of militants to celebrate the following events in Muyuka 6th November 2022, 11th of February 2022, 20th May 2022, 24th of March 2022 and the land mark section conference on October 21, 2022. In the domain of preparing a perfect ground work for victories in future elections, I have ensured that more of our militants are registered in the electoral register. I have also provided party gadgets; uniforms and t shirts to militants. Thus, ensuring easy identification of our militants during public events. All these could not have been possible without the commitment and love of party demonstrated by the militants. Who are presently motivated more than ever before.
Has the National President of CPDM, also the Head of State got the support of Fako II, how do militants manifest this adherence?
Fako II Section through the guidance and continuous mentorship of the President of the South West Permanent Regional Delegation of the Central Committee Peter Mafany Musonge has always supported the ideals of the Head of State, President Paul Biya. This show of support was manifested powerfully in the 2018 presidential elections where the CPDM registered an overwhelming victory in Muyuka sub division. The results of the 2020 twin municipal and legislative elections that led to the candidates of the CPDM party being elected as councillors of the Muyuka Council and Members of Parliament is a testimony of the militants support to the Head of State. Also, the victories recorded by the CPDM candidates during the last senatorial and regional assembly elections are all proofs of the militants support to the vision of the head of state. Muyuka has some pressing needs: that the sub division is too vast and with a total population of close to 200.000 inhabitants there is therefore an urgent need to divide it into three sub divisions with head quarters in Ekona, Muyuka and Bafia. This will mean taking administration and development closer to the people. There is a need to appoint elites of Muyuka to top management positions. Also there is a need to put an end to the ongoing crisis that has had a serious devastating effect on the activities of the sub division as it is the most hit within Fako division.
