National Day 2023 : CPDM Prepares Happy End Tale

As in yesteryears, the Cameroon People’s Democratic Movement will join in celebrating Cameroon’s unity in diversity, come May 20.

The 51st edition of the National day is in the horizon and militants of the CPDM will join other Cameroonians to celebrate unity, social cohesion and peace. Contrary to tales of the country’s unity becoming fragile, the CPDM through its militants will use the occasion to show the world that Cameroon is faring well under the stewardship of President Paul Biya, who has not relented efforts in keeping the multifaceted fabric of the nation intact.
The hierarchy of the party is yet to give directives on how celebrations should be conducted in various localities, but local authorities who already know the party’s action plan have begun preparing for a grandiose show of force. Like never before, the CPDM will have to showcase its unity through massive mobilization in all the sections and for all the three wings of the party, because the party preaches unity beginning within its ranks. For the traditional march pass, CPDM intends to mobilise its sympathizers and supporters to make the feast a memorable one at a time when the country is recovering from the negative effects of the sociopolitical crisis in the North west and South west regions as well as the Covid-19 pandemic.
The traditional May 20th march pass will therefore not only be performed by the military. CPDM militants know the place they usually occupy when political parties are called to file pass. As the number one on Cameroon’s political scene, militants of President Paul Biya’s party have begun gearing up in party fabric and other party gadgets like caps, t-shirts and mufflers to name but.
More than ever before, the CPDM militants will be out to celebrate unity in diversity and its continual support to state institutions in fostering social cohesion. This year, National day will be celebrated under the theme “Defense forces and Cameroonian people in harmony to safeguard peace and national unity, bedrock of a strong and prosperous Cameroon.”
