Voter Registration : On Course in Njikwa

Local authorities of the CPDM for the Momo North West Section, Njikwa are taking advantage of every gathering to register potential voters.

Militants of the CPDM in Njikwa are working hard to make their impact felt in the voter registration exercise and voting when time comes. Despite the challenges faced on the field, militants and their local authorities are undeterred and steadfast in their support for the CPDM and its National President Paul Biya. They have alongside their local party authorities been braving serious odds to get themselves registered and to rally many more eligible voters on their side, encourage them to register in preparation for a massive vote in favor of the CPDM in the event of an election. According to Egoh Ringo Akrobo, section president “Our terrain is very risky especially given this crisis period. We have however not laid on our laurels but have been all out to ensure that we sensitize and mobilize our militants to do the needful”, he said.
Authorities of the section have been organizing meetings in different parts of the country where their people are based to educate them on the need to register. Njikwa sub division has benefited from the CPDM but a lot is yet to be done specifically in the domain of roads, electrification, adequate health facilities, schools and more. “Registering and voting for the CPDM will help us a lot as a people” the section president insisted. In Bamenda we have been holding meetings in Ayaba, in Douala where we have a substantial number of our people based as they ran away from the crisis, we have had about ten (10) meetings. It is not easy for us to congregate so when we meet and discuss, we inform the rest of our militants through the social networks, and so far, the results are impressive because at every gathering and manifestation we bring Elecam teams and the people get registered without any form of compliancy”, Ringo revealed.
He also acknowledged that a number of eligible voters in the section are faced with the lack of birth certificates and identity cards. As local authorities, together with the elite they have put different strategies in place to evaluate such cases and to immediately help the concerned acquire these very important documents without which they cannot be registered.
During the March 2024 celebration, the section authorities reemphasized the need for militants to love Cameroon and to stand for its peace, unity and growth always.
The ceremony availed the authorities to keep militants abreast with their strategy for a resounding victory in 2025. They have committed themselves to use every gathering as an opportunity to recruit eligible voters and to encourage them to register and to vote for the CPDM when elections are convened. They will also comb every nook and cranny to recruit voters before the registration exercise folds up in August this year.
