There was a massive turnout on November 6, 2021 at the Misaje market square to celebrate 39 years of Paul Biya as President.

The celebration was marked by meaningful speeches. The newly elected Section President Ali Tukur praised the population for the relative peace that reigns in Misaje subdivision. “This peace is thanks to the sacrifices you have made and continue to make. Keep on!” he said. Ali Tukur urged all to work for a one and indivisible Cameroon.

He then threw flowers at Dr. Fuh Calistus Gentry, elite of the area, and Secretary of State in the Ministry of Mines, Industry and Technological Development, for transforming Misaje into a regional road junction. He said the marriage between President Paul Biya and the Misaje people is a marriage of trust, love and blessings. “The projects that have so far been achieved in Misaje subdivision are so many that we can take the whole day enumerating them”.
While other areas in the restive North West region have suffered from school boycott, Misaje has had full classrooms. Kinlo Gregory applauded Dr. Fuh Calistus Gentry for awarding scholarships to sons and daughters of Donga Mantung. To the 1st Deputy Mayor of Misaje Council, the Donga Mantung Scholarship Fund has been as big booster to an effective and sustainable back-to-school in the past four years. Talking to the Press at the end of the celebration, the Divisional Officer for Misaje Thomas Tchaha said the subdivision is ready to receive any contractor for any project and more importantly, the tarring of the Ring Road should start in Misaje because of the relative peace that reigns in the subdivision.
