2025 presidential election : Mefou and Akono Sticks With Biya

The CPDM in Akono is repositioning itself ahead of future elections as the section plans to soar like an eagle in its bid to give the party results.

From a reassuring and spectacular show of prowess staged by militants on May 20 in Akono on the occasion of the National day celebration, the section President Daniel Hippolyte Bickoe was fired up by the great turnout and the manifested enthusiasm of the militants. He addressed a special message to the National President of the CPDM, as per the readiness of his section to support Paul Biya and the CPDM party come 2025. Pointers to the confidence of the party’s voice in Akono in addressing this message are amongst other things the fruitful collaboration the party enjoys with grassroot authorities, administrative, traditional authorities and the elite who together form a team united in purpose. The unwavering support of militants of this section for the CPDM and its National President Paul Biya cannot be over emphasized.
After many years of true militancy with the CPDM, the result- oriented militants of Akono are unapologetic of their stand with the CPDM. They believe it is the only party that yields results. In the words of the section president, Daniel Hippolyte Bickoe; “The CPDM has proven beyond doubts that it has the interest of Cameroonians at heart, and we in Akono have chosen to flow with it”, he said.
Akono enjoys peace and security, a peaceful and cordial coexistence is real amongst the inhabitants of the sub division which is home to persons from all over the nation. Another key factor for which militants in Akono uphold the CPDM is the fact that their sons and daughters are being appointed to high positions in the government. Akono is reachable by a beautifully tarred road which links the sub division to Kribi passing through Olama. These and more are contributing factors that spur militants of the Mefou and Akono Southwest section to continue holding on to the CPDM and its National President.
“Our successes with the CPDM have been progressive till now. As it stands, no one and nothing can talk us out of the CPDM in Akono”, Daniel Bickoe said emphatically.
Sub section presidents from the thirteen (13) subsections have thus been assigned to comb the nooks and crannies of the section, fish out new militants and ensure that both old and new militants get registered on the electoral lists.
“The numerical strength of registered militants determines a high participation, hence the hope for great results”, insisted Daniel Bickoe.
