At the Party Headquarters : CPDM Special Squadron Perfects Steps

Under the watchful eyes of Minister Bidoung Mkpatt, Secretary for Specialised Wings, a selected number of militants have been practicing ahead of the grandiose May 20th march pass.

Practice makes perfect. It is in line with this idiom that since 10 May 2023, the special square that will open the march pass for political parties represented at the National Assembly has been rehearsing. With the majority of seats in Parliament, the CPDM intends to make a show of its number by their turnout and savoir faire. Celebrating national unity at 51 is no joke and it explains why hierarchy is taking note of every detail beginning with the measured steps that will be executed at the May 20th Boulevard, in the presence of Paul Biya, who is the National President of the CPDM and “Father of the Nation”.
According to organisers, the march pass will be opened by the square of amazons of the Central Committee of the CPDM, followed by two special groups representing those who were born in 1972 and 1982. These will be followed closely by the various wings of the party beginning with the Youth wing, then the Women’s wing and the CPDM. Militants have been selected from all seven sections of Mfoundi, to make up the CPDM square which according to those in charge of rehearsals will be a sight for sore eyes. The various wings of the party will be identical through the colours of their fabric – purple for the youth wing, blue for the women’s wing and brown for the CPDM.
Going by the enthusiasm read on the faces of the men, women and youths rehearsing at the esplanade of the Party Headquarters for the grand day, it is evident that they look forward to making Paul Biya who will be accompanied by the Honorary President of the women’s wing, First Lady Chantal Biya proud.
As preparations to mark the 51st edition of the National Day heighten in sections across the nation, the central message that militants will send across by their massive mobilisation and participation is that Cameroon remains united in its diversity and the people. The CPDM’s show of force will be indicative of their loyalty to a nation that continues making steady steps towards its emergence under the impulse of its illustrious leader Paul Biya.
