Militants of the Cameroon Democratic Movement, CPDM party in Tubah gave Minister Mounouna Foutso a glamorous welcome during his visit to Bambili to launch civilian activities of the national unity week.
In their numbers and colours, the militants of Tubah gave a “Tubah Yes” to the affairs of the state in their community, shun insecurity and anti-patriotism, demonstrated in their mobilization to receive the envoy of the Head of State,
Headed by the Section President of Mezam IV Section (Tubah), Professor Peter Abety, the turnout of Tubah militants was not just a mark of respect for the national event but also a message of peace and gradual return of normalcy in this area.
Members of the party from all walks of life were mobilized as proof of their unwavering support to the Head of State and his institutions, and as testament to the entire nation that they are heeding to the Head of State’s call for peace while fostering development in their community.
The militants used the occasion to boast of the numerous strides government has made to advance development in Tubah with the University of Bamenda campus hosted in their Section, the Regional College of Agriculture which have all been functional unperturbed despite the prevailing security challenges.
Considering the endless list of successes registered by Tubah under the New Deal, Ghejung Awunti, militant of the CPDM in Tubah who is also Commissioner of Economic Development at the North West Regional Assembly, NWRA established that it was time for Tubah to re-emerge and leverage on the pillars of a successful party to shine by saying “Yes” to its values.
“We reaffirm the Tubah Yes and remind the country and our leaders that the Tubah Yes was said yesterday, is said today, and will be said tomorrow. We will participate heavily in all national and party activities,” Ghejung boasts.
Party elites who accompanied the grassroots militants to receive the august visitor were Senator Regina Mundi, Hon Agho Oliver and Eric Andangfung, General Manager of UNVDA who are all frontline militants and elite of Tubah.
Accompanied by the Commissioner for Economic Development at NWRA and local administrators, Hon Agho Oliver, MP for Bafut-Tubah went down to the field the day after the launching to rally youths of Tubah massively turnout on 20 May to feast with the rest of the nation.
