Akono : CPDM Militants Level up for 2025

It was in pomp and pageantry that militants of the Mefou and Akono South West section of the Centre region recommitted to make CPDM proud in the upcoming electoral rendezvous.

Gathered in their numbers to celebrate the 39th anniversary of the party at the Conference Hall of the Stoll College on March 24, local authorities divulged section’s strategy, to bring a resounding victory to the CPDM in upcoming elections. In an elaborate plan of action unraveled by Daniel Hippolyte Bickoe, Section president endorsed by Gaston Eloundou Esomba, elite, member of the Central Committee, they reengaged militants and enjoined them to align.

Be it Atangana Simplice, representative of the elite of Akono, Ondoa Efala, Mayor of the Akono council, administrative and traditional authorities, militants or sympathizers the message was the same.  As Daniel Bickoe, guarantor and acclaimed molder of the political conscience of militants spelt out the outlined plan, all listened with rapt attention amidst thunderous applause and shouts of joy. In the words of the section president “we must achieve this objective before the closure of voter registers in August”, he emphasized, calling on militants to join in the completion of the review of the electoral lists in all the cells, branches and subsections of the CPDM, WCPDM and YCPDM. The completion and establishment of a database for those who have birth certificates and all who don’t have and ensuring they register and vote for the CPDM when time comes.

This short-term strategy Bickoe said “includes the implication of all”. He appealed for moral, material and financial support from the entire elite of Akono.  The section president highlighted the need to preserve the CPDM as a party, consolidate achievements through a total mobilization of the young and old behind the National President Paul Biya thanks to whom he said “we belong to a democratic State”.

Akono sub division has achieved countless benefits through its undeterred militancy with the CPDM these 39 years. “We are proud to belong, to be counted as nation builders of a peaceful, united in its great diversity, politically strong Cameroon that takes pride in its progress”, Bickoe shouted out. The section continues to affirm its willingness to be part of “the construction of a pacific, united, independent, prosperous Cameroon; master of its destiny”, concluded.

The ceremony ended with the reading of a motion of support to President Paul Biya whom the section called to be their candidate in 2025.

“We are Speeding up Sensitization”

This is a very important day, a great day which avails us a golden opportunity to continue to speed up sensitization. We must be sure that all our militants are registered on the electoral lists.  We are calling on them to get set, be ready for 2025. From the great work being done on the field, I can say with confidence that our militants will be on point.

“A Victory for the CPDM in Akono in 2025 is none negotiable”

Daniel Hippolyte Bickoe, Section president

We came here in numbers from all 13 subsection of the Mefou and Akono South west section to celebrate 39 years of prosperity, peace and solidarity. Our message to militants has of essence been for them to remain very vigilant. They must get registered on the voter’s lists, given that 2025 is right at the door step. We must be ready to win again for our National President His Excellency President Paul Biya, and that is not negotiable.
