Nwa : Hon. Adamu Donates Benches to Schools

For a more conducive Learning environment, students of  G.S Gwah and Jator Sabongari received benches as a support from their MP to facilitate their pursuit for Knowledge.

This initiative by the Member of Parliament for Nwa is a continuation of his commitment to address resource gaps in border communities by improving educational structures.  A cause he has championed since entering politics. Hon. Adamu Edward Lambe, Member of Parliament for Nwa and former educator, has reaffirmed his commitment to improving educational infrastructure by donating classroom benches to Government Secondary (G.S) Gwah and G.S Jator Sabongari.

Hon. Adamu, whose career began in the classroom, leveraged his first hand understanding of educational challenges to prioritise student welfare. “Education is the foundation of progress,” he stated during the handover ceremony. “These benches are more than furniture—they symbolize our investment in the future of every child”, he continuedHis background as a teacher has consistently shaped his legislative focus, particularly in a Sub Division like Nwa, which borders Nigeria.

The donation arrives amid longstanding concerns about the integration of border villages into constituency development plans. In 2021, Hon. Adamu raised alarms over the exclusion of villages near the Cameroon-Nigeria border from political representation and resource allocation, highlighting systemic neglect in infrastructure and education. This latest effort aligns with his advocacy for equitable access to facilities in remote areas.  Hon. Adamu Edward Lambe’s blend of pedagogical insight and political action continues to resonate in Nwa. As border communities navigate integration challenges, his efforts offer a blueprint for bridging gaps through targeted philanthropy and advocacy

The gestures by the MP have earned him the appreciation and admiration of many.

Headteachers of G.S Gwah and GS Jator Sabongari for example have continued to praise the MP, emphasising that this donation is practical and of great symbolic significance. “Many students previously sat on floors or shared desks,” said one the teachers. “This gesture boosts morals and reinforces the value of education.” The benches are expected to benefit over 500 Pupils in both schools.
