The Secretary General of the Central Committee of the Cameroon People’s Democratic Movement (CPDM), Jean Nkuétè, in a communique on March 27, 2025 has announced three key decisions signed by National President Paul Biya on March 25 and 26, 2025.
The measures include the appointment of new substantive members of the Central Committee and the designation of Heads of Delegation for various Regional and Divisional Permanent Delegations. According to the party scribe, these moves aim to enhance the CPDM’s internal structure and ensure smooth operations in line with its basic texts.
The decisions also focus on mobilizing party resources in preparation for upcoming elections, particularly the presidential poll. Analysts view this reorganization as a strategic step to consolidate support ahead of the crucial electoral period.
The CPDM, Cameroon’s ruling party, remains a dominant political force under President Biya’s leadership. These latest appointments signal a push for renewed momentum as the nation gears up for the 2025 presidential race.
