The call was made by Hon. Njingum Musa on 8 March as he joined women to commemorate the International Women’s Day.
A highly attended ceremony that took place in Ndop. Women in the constituency came out in their numbers beautifully dressed in their Women’s day fabrics. In a powerful message, Hon. Njingum Musa acknowledged them for their resilience, calling on them to bring to life the wealth of potential embedded in them for the growth and advancement of the Ngoketunjia North Constituency and Cameroon.
The Member of Parliament acknowledged the struggles of these women whom he said “have continued to fight tirelessly for their rights and freedoms”. He recognized that while significant progress has been made, the journey to empowerment is far from complete. Empowerment, Njingum emphasized, is not just a word, but a movement that requires collective action and advocacy for equality in all spheres.
He thus encouraged women in his constituency to “celebrate your diverse stories and experiences, embrace your individuality and unique strengths”, Njingum cautioned. “The importance of lifting each other, creating a powerful network of support that breaks barriers and inspires future generations is of utmost importance” he emphasized.
As a passionate advocate for women’s empowerment, Hon. Njingum urged all women in his constituency to take action, whether through mentoring, advocating for policies that support women, or simply sharing their stories.
His message and constant actions and support to the women is a testament of his commitment to empowering them to challenge societal stereotypes in Ngoketunjia.

His take home message to women on this International Women’s Day 2025 was a powerful reminder of the importance of collective action, advocacy, and empowerment which serves as a beacon of hope and inspiration. He reminded them of the upcoming elections and the major role the women have to perform to ensure the success of the exercise. To achieve this, Njingum insisted on the women to ensure that they get registered and to vote when the time comes. Hon. Njingugum urged the women to stand united and unstoppable in their pursuit for equality and empowerment.
