For a Smooth and a result-oriented campaign upcoming, the CPDM Council commission for the Mefou and Akono west held first planning meeting Friday 19 at the council hall to define a good Campaign Strategy.
The meeting that brought together stake holders of the 2025 campaign for CPDM’s outstanding win was chaired by Effa Messi Gregoire Saturnin, president of the council commission for the Mefou and Akono west, the Mayor; Amvouna Atemengue, Nguini Effa, former Director General of SCDP and a host of other local party big wigs. Their exchanges were geared at finetuning and gaining a common and best strategies to reach every registered member with adequate information as to what is expected of them as they prepare take part in campaigns for a resounding victory for the CPDM candidate in Ngoumou.
They have opted for an inclusive campaign strategy that includes a meticulous door to door reach. This strategy promises to yield great results in that it will avail them the opportunity to reach all seventeen 17 local village commissions in place. From the Mayor’s good mastery of the field, it was proposed that for the two weeks that campaign will go on; every commission will continue their work. However, at any given point that the council commission is announced; they must pause on their activities; join the council commission to get new directives, guide lines and instruction for a proper and an orderly campaign that respects the rules.
Should there be a divisional grand launch as the case may be, the instructions are for all to follow the leadings of their hierarchy and collaborate with them.
The Mefou and Akono west municipality is host to different communities of residents including the Housas, the Bamoun community, the Anglophone community and a huge youth population to name just these. These and the rest of them are to be treated at best in order to reassure them of their unquestionable citizenship in line with President Biya’s quest for every Cameroonian to feel at home in any part of the country.
Plans are also that proper communication would be of utmost priority, developmental projects in different communities will be carried out as per their needs. The education of militants on the message from hierarchy especial sub section presidents and others who must relay such messages to the grassroot must be handled with a lot of care to avoid misinformation.
This Municipality is a CPDM reserve par excellence. The council commission President has emphasized that the result for this 2025 election must largely surpass all the previous ones.
The meeting ended with a proper designation, acknowledgement and presentation of presidents and team leaders who are the field actors and who will carry out the proper organization of the campaign on the field.
