Idenau : Campaign Team Combs Nooks, Crannies

In the final stretch ahead of the October 12 presidential election, the campaign team for the CPDM in Fako West is executing a meticulous, ground-level strategy to secure votes for President Paul Biya.

Under the direct supervision of the campaign head, Ekema Emmanuel Likine, a network of foot soldiers and focal points is moving from house to house, leaving no stone unturned in their mission. The strategy is simple but profound, personal contact. While large rallies have their place, the campaign is betting that direct, doorstep conversations are the key to mobilizing their base. The core instruction from Likine to his team is to ensure every militant has their voter’s card ready and understands the critical importance of casting their ballot.

Ekema Emmanuel Likine, in a recent rallying cry to his field operatives, framed the election not as a choice, but as the culmination of a long national journey. “President Paul Biya and the Cameroonian people have come a long way in building this great Country, Cameroon through thick and thin,” he stated.

The CPDM campaign in Fako West remains unfazed by opposition parties, priding itself on the party’s superior nationwide implantation and deep-rooted structures. Likine dismissed rival candidates as mere students of the incumbent.

He summed up the party’s confidence in Pidgin, a language that resonates deeply with the local populace: “Follow man way ey know road and man way ey know road na President Paul Biya.”

Likine directly addressed the women, whom he called “the mothers of humanity,” reminding them of the President’s reliance on their support. “When going to vote,” he instructed, “please hold your husband’s and children’s hands and vote for President Paul Biya, the friend of widows, the father and protector of our young girls.”

As the campaign foot soldiers traverse the constituencies of the West Coast, Bonjongo Court, and Bonavada, their message is clear: a vote for President Paul Biya is framed as a vote for continuous development, security, and stability. They are ensuring that on election day, the theoretical support for the CPDM translates into the physical, white ballot that carries the face of the man they are confident will lead Cameroon for another seven years.
