It availed organizers a singular opportunity to educate the youth of the Fako II section of the CPDM on the importance to take active part in the political and economic life of Muyuka and the nation Cameroon at large.
It was a major step in redirecting and guiding them in the right direction considering that they are yet recovering from the harshness of the crisis.
The training involved youths of all works of life especially bike riders and taxi drivers. Together, they were drilled on road safety technics and alternative sustainable management of opportunities and resources for the betterment of their individual lives, community and national life.
In the words of the, YCPDM president “we the youth of Muyuka have been very outstanding amongst our peers all around. In the domain of sports especially football, we have always dominated. We are a smart and very industrious youth wing. The challenges that came with the imposed crises have reshaped us are we are looking into the future with intention and great ambitions”, he said.
A palpable slow down, confusing signals by the crisis has affected this dynamic youth population but they are putting hands together and repositioning for a brighter and more impactful future that is here already.
Oscar Ekale used this occasion and talked them up, encouraging them to pick themselves up quickly, ant to take advantage of this seven-year mandate that President Biya has dedicated to the youth to rebuild their confidence, shine and to succeed by taking up active responsibilities. He insisted that “we are endowed with great potentials, we must rise up to our responsibilities now while we can so as not to waste the gifts imbedded in us”,
He also reminded them that nation building is an obligation for every citizen “passivity is not an option”, Ekale emphasized.
A strong call was also made specifically, engaging youths of voting age who have not yet to registered on the voters lists to do so already. This YCPDM section president cautioned that “having yours names on the voter’s lists is the best and only way to prepare yourselves for upcoming elections, if we must succeed and enjoy the beautiful future we are looking into, them every potential voter must register, and get ready to vote for the CPDM when the time comes”, he concluded.
Muyuka is said to be the only subdivision that has two youths serving as 1st and 2nd deputy Mayors. The Member of Parliament for Fako east constituency, a youth; hails from Muyuka.
Oscar Ekale, challenged the youth of his section to take every advantage and to shine again because they have the potentials.
