Lebialem : CPDM PDD Wraps up Tour

Thousands of militants across Lebialem Division reaffirmed their support to their political leader, Paul Tasong and pledged unwavering commitment to the CPDM party and President Paul Biya.

For one week, the CPDM Permanent Divisional Delegation headed by minister Paul Tasong was on the field. From one fondom to the other, the team listened to the challenges faced by the grassroots militants and the local population, exchanging views for a way forward. Militants who had for the past years suffered from pains inflicted by armed separatists, have picked up the pieces of their lives with a vow not to allow such happen again in their Division.

From Wabane subdivision to Alou and Menji, the massive turnout of the population signified the full return to normalcy in Lebialem and the determination of the people to support their own. The Lebialem man has come to believe that by supporting their own and the ruling party, remains the only way the much needed development can be achieved. The Fons, village chiefs, development associations, the clergy, business persons, pledged during the visit to remain united, firm and stand as one behind their leader, Paul Tasong.

Addressing the plight of his people, minister Paul Tasong at the different stops, reiterated on the need for peace, love and unity among the Lebialem people, both at home and in the diaspora. He
reawakened the spirit of education, which till now remains the greatest asset of the Lebialem people. He said “by supporting the ruling party, we are sure of getting our own share of the national cake. There are a lot of projects that President Paul Biya has shortlisted to transform our Division. On electrification, work is ongoing on the Dschang-MenjiBakebe stretch, with the installation of high-tension lines. This line will provide electricity across the entire Division. Also, public consultations have been carried out on the construction of the same stretch of road, while the AlouMenji road has been graded to ease movement». The political leader urged all to embrace peace and contribute individually to the development of the Division. The minister expressed gratitude to the different communities for their resilience, and different efforts” being made to make life better during the crisis period.
