Youth Development : Minister Mbah Receives Bi Hamadou Ibrahim.

The winner of the 2026 Mount Cameroon Race of Hope was last Thursday 26 February given a hero’s welcome in Yaounde.

Bi Hamadou Ibrahim, winner of the 2026 Mount Cameroon Race of Hope was received by Mbah Rose Acha and the elite of Momo Thursday February 26. This was during a meeting at the CONSUPE conference hall in Yaounde chaired by Minister Mbah Rose Acha.

The dream of the Head of State for every Cameroonian youth to be given the opportunity to excel is being put to practice as the winner went to present his trophy to division’s mother/boss and the Elite of Momo.

They gathered around Mrs Mbah Acha to welcome their son who had made them proud. Bi Hamadou’s outstanding success at the 2026 Mount Cameroon Race of Hope has reignited hope for the future of young Cameroonians. The occasion also availed the divisional authorities to reiterate the call of the Head of State for permanent peace and a structured youth development and growth.  It permitted the Minister to shed light on other worrying sectors concerning the youth and their growth in Momo division.

She appealed to them to copy the good example shown by Bi Hamadou, get themselves involved in active national and economic day to day life of the division by daring to exercise their talents in different domains.

Minister Mbah Acha in continuation of what the Head of State had started extended a warm hand of fellowship in continuation of President Biya’s plea for those of the youths still be in the bushes to come out to normal life. “Use your beautiful talents for your personal and positive advancement and for the development of Cameroon”, she emphasized.

The outstanding role of the Awing Athletic club in nurturing this athletic excellence she recommended “should not just end with this case, many more youths should dare to be champions of growth and development”.

As a follow up to the encouraging move, an elite of the division Rev. Prof Anyambod Anya, representing the North west regional Assembly in his capacity as the Commissioner for Education, Sports and Cultural Development added voice saying “I witnessed Bi Hamadou Ibrahim’s win.

Of the Eighteen trophies, the North west regional Athletic league is said to have won 17”.

Athis is a giant step in the right direction for youth development.

Rev Anyambod further expressed his desire and satisfaction, proposing that Bi Hamadou’s win be the end. He encouraged the Minister to make all in the division work together for many more of such victories. The idea of a regional sports and cultural jamboree was equally evoked.
