Academic Excellence : CPDM Santa Elite Dole Out Prizes

A movement of CPDM elite, known as the Mighty Santa Caucus has recognized outstanding learners of Santa Subdivision during the 2021/2022 academic year.

Members of the group and its leader Chi Asafor Cornelius, who is Secretary General of the National Commission for the Promotion of Bilingualism and Multiculturalism, Ncpbm came to feast with the younger generation for keeping the educational flag of Santa afloat. The turnout was massive at the Council Hall of Santa, on Saturday November 19.
A total of 94 laureates with excellent academic performances from university to secondary – general education and technical students were recognized with certificates from the Mighty Santa Caucus, awarded cash prizes to proceed with their respective careers. The beneficiaries through Afahwei Ngambi on their part pledge their commitment to the ideals of Santa elite and assured they [Santa elite] will never be let down,
Beyond the paper works which brims the Santa long history of the smart, the elite celebrated an assured continuity of the development of the subdivision which is one among the few council areas in the North West that has been recording commendable developmental strides amid the armed conflict in the region.
While congratulating the laureates, the Mighty Santa Caucus President, Chi Asafor told them that as students, they should strive hard to bridge the gap between ignorance and enlightenment in order to develop the community in particular and Cameroon in general. He encouraged them to continue to align with the vision of the Head of State, Paul Biya which is to preserve the invaluable achievements of peace, national unity and institutional stability. It was also a forum to salute the efforts of teachers who through their bravery, commitment and patriotism have continued to build the young minds despite the prevailing challenges.
“The main objective of this exercise was to promote excellence performance in education, to tell the people of Santa that it is necessary for them to continue sending their children to school. In this era, nothing good can be attained without a well-educated population. We are determined to continue encouraging students, parents, teachers of Santa subdivision to continue going to school and performing well.” Dr Chi Asafor said.
It is on record that Santa was among the first council areas in the North West that organized an enlarged back-to-school campaign when the armed conflict was escalating in 2017, donating books, bags and other school materials to have their children back in the classrooms.
