Militants of the YCPDM are conquering fear and investing in the future by preaching and practicing peace.
This is Pius Mingo’s vision for the Ngoketunjia youth. He was voted in the just ended renewal of the basic organs of the party and plans to instil the right values in the youth of Ndop for a better future. Mingo is leading a change of mentality crusade that aims at empowering youths of the section to set the pace for the Cameroon they want for themselves now and always.
The ingredients for this are fearlessness, unchallenged patriotism, love and respect for the human life. “If they imbibe these virtues, they will never trade their consciences for some blood stained stipends” The YCPDM President believes.
Pius Mingo is a youth who has invested in building his political history. He is working on making an indelible mark by taking party activities to a higher level in Ndop.
Pius Mingo joined the CPDM in 2002 as a militant in his native Bambalang village. Motivated by the Head of State’s charisma and steadfast love for Cameroon, Mingo seeks to engrave his name in the country’s success book. According to him, “Paul Biya and the CPDM are the best outlets to bring my little contribution to building this Nation”, he said.
He is an active member in the section. In 2007, he was CPDM’s representative for the municipal elections. Same in 2011 Presidential and the 2013 Municipal elections. He was Secretary General for G35 in the 2018 campaign for the Presidential elections. He also represented the party in the 2019 municipals and in 2021; he was voted YCPDM Section President.
Since taking office, Mingo is encouraging young people to be responsible citizens today if they must take over from the elders tomorrow. He keeps emphasising the need for youths of voting age to register and always participate in elections.
In his words, “the ballot box is the ultimate way to express one’s self in national issues, not violence”. He also encourages youth of the section to shun all forms of division, work for unity and peace.
Groundwork to beat fear in the youth in Ndop is underway, as he is appealing on them to braze up to a fanfare March 24 anniversary fiesta in Ndop.
Mingo has expressed his desire to work with all the youths without discrimination. He joins voice to Head of State and calls on youths in the bushes to heed, drop their weapons and come back to Normal life.
