MOMO : Minister Rose Acha Births Cultural Festival

It is to keep the unity and peace ignited in Momo alive, that the first edition of the Momo cultural has been slated for November this year.

The festival, brainchild of the Minister Delegate at the presidency in Charge of the Supreme State Audit and also Head of the CPDM Central Committee delegation for Momo, Rose Acha nee Fomundam aims at bringing together sons and daughters of Momo annually in a unity cultural festival. This will go a long way to recreate a cultural awareness in the people and also rekindle their sense of oneness.
Through the Festival, Minister Acha also plans to unearth traditional values that have been buried, reignite and retrace the people to their cultural roots. It will also be an opportunity for those married out of the division to come home to the warm embrace of motherland as they enjoy the rich and diverse cultures.
In her words, Momo’s Mother as she is called lovingly said, “this will be a wonderful opportunity to reunite our people and to give them a platform to express themselves culturally”.
Senator Enwe Francis Abi, Hon Injoh Foo Ngang Prudencia, Rev. Prof. Anyambod Emmanuel Anya, Mr. Mbaku Jerry to name but these have acknowledged the brilliance of their ‘division’s mother’ in birthing such a wonderful idea. They have also resolved to capitalize on the Momo people’s new zeal for peace and unity to fast tract development, reinstate security and promote their cultural values.
Minister Rose Acha Fomundam who plans to instill a new spirit of love, tolerance and social cohesion in the area insists on bringing everyone on board.
The division has suffered severe effects as a result of the crisis. As calm returns steadily, the hitherto spirit of oneness in the division is of utmost importance. “We must take the unity, peace security and development of Momo seriously. It starts with us”, Rose Acha emphasised.
The founder of the Momo Cultural Festival also holds that “the crisis and hardship have scattered our people abroad and this festival will serve as a call for all to remember home”.
“Momo’s Mother”, requests total collaboration from all stake holders in the division including Senator Enwe Francis, Hon Injoh Foo Ngang Prudencia, Mayors, CPDM Section Presidents in Momo, traditional authorities, and the elite. She entreats all to respect traditional values by respecting the custodians of culture and tradition. She has maintained that “our Fons, Chiefs and Ardos really deserve our respect”.
In doing these things they will be contributing in bringing about the desired prosperity and development, hence contributing to nation building.
