AKONO : CPDM Exibits Prowess

Militants of the CPDM in the Mefou and Akono South West used the 51st National Day celebration to reiterate their resolve to stand with Paul Biya.

Beautifully dressed in CPDM regalia, on a beautiful day graced by good weather militants from all 13 sub sections of Akono availed themselves the opportunity to reaffirm their loyalty to their National President and Head of State for progress made this far. They also recommitted themselves to stay true in their militancy as their support to bringing their National President’s vision to fruition.
Akono, bedrock of the CPDM and a melting pot of cultures stands out as a manifested example of living together as preached by Paul Biya. Be they Anglophones the Bamouns or Hausas who have found home in Akono, all were thankful to Paul Biya for giving every Cameroonian the consciousness to make a home anywhere in the national territory.
For these and more, CPDM militants, mobilized to the occasion in their numbers by the voice of the party in the section, Daniel Hippolyte Bickoe thanked the militants for their steadfastness and acknowledged President Biya for his clairvoyance as he sent a strong message of the section’s readiness to herald their hero and National President Paul Biya powerfully come 2025.
The myriad of persons at the ceremonial ground including the military, peace and security officers, pupils, students, political parties, cultural and social groups had all come to appreciate Cameroon’s unity and peace.
The event was presided over by Madame Antoinnette Justine Zongo, Divisional Officer for Akono. It started off with the decoration of some meritorious citizens in the presence of friends and family members who cheered them for distinguishing themselves.
Then came the grand civilian march pass with the huge participation of pupils, secondary and high school students, vocational schools, social groups and associations. They carried effigies of the Head of State, brandished the national colors and chanted “Paul Biya, Paul Biya our President…”.
CPDM completely outshone the CNR by its huge mobilization, turnout and their determined marching steps that drew thunderous applause from the crowd. A special squad led by Daniel Hippolyte Bickoe, section president closed the civilian march past, and prizes awarded to best performing schools at the parade.

“Unity is palpable reality here in Akono”
We came in numbers to celebrate national unity which is a reality here in the Mefou and Akono South west. Here we have all tribes. People from all over the country live here in harmony and in perfect solidarity. We believe that unity is a big reality that is well known and we live it here in Akono. To the architect of this unity, the President of the Republic Paul Biya, we address a message for 2025 already from Akono.
