True to its tradition of always preparing events ahead of time, the party has set out to train trainers within the party in preparation of the upcoming elections in 2025.
Launched in Yaounde as starting point on Thursday September 21, 2023 by the Secretary General of the CPDM, Jean Nkuete; the training seminars will be taken to all regions in Cameroon. The importance of the training cannot be over emphasized in that the coming years for Cameroon as a nation have important dates. Important changes for the enhancement and growth of the nation will have to come through municipal and presidential elections. These are very crucial events that shape the life of a nation and in this case the CPDM, party in power plans to reinvigorate its topmost militants such as members of the political bureau, militants who are members of government, members of permanent delegations, regional councilors, MPs, Senators, Section Presidents of the CPDM, WCPDM, YCPDM and council executives. This crop of militants is chosen for the training for the simple reason that after they must have had the training, they will in turn take the message of the party to the grassroot militants in their respective spheres of influence. It is thus of utmost importance for the CPDM in its constant quest for results to equip its militants and give them the necessary tools for the task ahead.
The party is thus starting early, in order not to be found wanting or taken off guard.
The current national and international atmosphere seeks to threaten the very core of democracies and Cameroon being a democratic country plans to move with the time. The CPDM’ s seminars are the party’s way to engage its militants in an intellectual reflection on the future.
