PAUL BIYA : Adamaoua Region’s Candidate for 2025

Militants of the CPDM in the Adamaoua have declared the CPDM their choice party and its National President Paul Biya as their candidate for upcoming elections.

They made the declaration recently to the Secretary General of the CPDM Jean Nkuété as he visited the region during training seminars that took him to all ten regions of Cameroon. For a region that has known challenges in its recent past, the Secretary General brought words of encouragement and prescribed hard work, schooling party authorities on the mis[1]sions and obligations of the party and the steps they must follow in to bring the expected results in the region. Party authorities in the region are poised to turn the tides. They acknowledged that at some point their political journey staggered, calling to mind the 14 April 2014 bitter experience which the region saw its lists rejected by Elections Cameroon. In his welcome speech in honor of the Secretary General of the CPDM, Jean Nkuété in Ngoundere on 14 November 2023 at the Evéché conference hall, the Hon. Theophile Baoro, Member of the Permanent Regional Delegation of the Central Committee for the Adamaoua, Political Bureau Member of the CPDM and Vice President at the National Assembly, sitting in for the Head of the Permanent Regional Delegation, EL Hadj Mohamadou Abbo Ousmanou (late) paraphrased Darwin saying that “The world is made of movements of adaptation”. Theophile Baoro acknowledged that the delegation has known and is braving challenges. According to him, “to say that a party is strong is not to say that it cannot give way; but a strong party is that party which despite contrary winds remains standing and continues its march toward the goal”. He concluded that the Adamaoua has found and made its choice. Paul Biya is the region’s choice for peace and unity, a choice of harmonious living together, a choice of progress for a democratic and an indivisible Cameroon, a choice for rapid growth and development a choice for victory come 2025.
