Daniel Hippolyte Bickoe : Square Peg in a Square Hole

The Section President of Mefou and Akono South West in Akono through his commitment inspires great hope in the militants of his section.

For a man who incessantly drums CPDM’s support to the militants reminding them not to be led astray by what he often terms “fake political offers”, Daniel Hippolyte has maintained that the benefits that have come to Akono thanks to the CPDM are worth thanking the National President Paul Biya for. In his words, “The only way to show our gratitude to our National President is to stay loyal to the CPDM and to the ideas of the new deal”. This, he believes will open more doors of opportunity to the section which plans to step up in terms of development and progress. “We have nothing to go looking for elsewhere”, he said emphatically.
Militants in this section are convinced that through the dynamism and steadfastness of Daniel Hippolyte to the ideals of the party, the section will always boast of a strong, and worthy of trust militant base for the CPDM.
The section president joined the CPDM as a student in secondary school. He has always loved to contribute to the growth of the Nation. Today as Section president he plans to leave nothing to chance in ensuring that the party continues to grow. His wealth of experience and steadfastness in militancy speaks volumes as he proudly says, “I am a militant of the CPDM by conviction”.
The section president, motivated by his love for his party works hard to keep the party’s glow in his political unit. In his words, “we work hand in hand with the militants, traditional authorities and the elite in our section to ensure the steady growth of the CPDM. We are convinced that the CPDM has the best political offer and that why 95 per cent of us here are adherents of the CPDM”, he said.
The goal as at now in the section is to make sure that militants of the CPDM in Akono are ready for any future elections. “We are looking forward to identifying and assisting militants who do not yet have identity cards. This will enable them to register in January,2023 when the registration exercise opens in preparation for any eventual elections”, he revealed.
The Mefou and Akono South west section is made up of thirteen sub sections spread over thirty-six (36) villages. The section is situated in Akono sub division in the Mefou and Akono division. Akono is boarded to the North by Ngoumou and Mbankomo sub divisions, to the east by Bikok sub division and to the south by Ngomedzap sub division.
