Mvengue : Militants Reaffirm Unwavering Support to Paul Biya

Militants, friends and sympathizers of the CPDM gathered in Melondo – Awanda on November 5 for a joint section conference and then the commemoration of President Biya’s accession to power on November 6.

They came from all 21 subsections that make up the Ocean north – east section of the CPDM on November 5, and converged on the Roman Catholic mission hall in Melondo – Awanda for a joint section conference of the CPDM, WCPDM &YCPDM. Beautifully dressed in their party uniforms, they sat under the same thinking cap led by Ambroise Owotsogo Onguene, section president.
Prior to the conference, a great mobilization had been carried out in all 21 subsections and resulted in the huge attendance witnessed.
It was a stock taking section conference which availed the section president an appraisal of the work done in the sub sections as the sub section presidents took turns to present reports. In their reports, they highlighted the activities they carry out to vivify their subsections and to improve on the livelihood of militants. They also presented the challenges faced on the field with as prime aspect the militant preparedness for the upcoming elections.
Co opted by the section to educate the militants, Professor Eric Owona Nguini spoke on the subject; “Actualization of the political base and registration on electoral lists”. On the overall, militants of the Ocean north east section had a beautiful working session which earned the full satisfaction of Ambroise Owotsogo. He would later on close the daylong reflection exercise by treating participants at the conference to a dance and relaxation cultural evening to the Mendzang rhythm in Mvengue.
This culminated in the anniversary celebration proper on 6 November in Mvengue with the same energy. Exchanges were done from 8 to 1pm when festivities commenced. There was the reading of the circular of the SG of the Central Committee, followed by the presentation of the report of the Secretary General’s meeting in Ebolowa by the section president alongside his speech. In their different allocutions, the WCPDM and YCPDM presidents called on both the women and the youths in the section to do everything to be up to date with preparations for elecetions.
A motion of support to the support of the National President was read, followed the the cutting of the anniversary cake and a the solidarity march which closed the event in Mvengue.
